Job Details of MEAL Assistant (Female)

Position Summary:

M&E Assistant has to monitor all CBT activities according to HAP policies and procedures, and Donor regulations including beneficiary satisfaction. M&E Assistant will facilitate in validation and reporting of the assessments and cash disbursement activities during the project. This role requires frequent travel to field locations.

Job Responsibilities:

• To assist in MEAL mechanism as per commitments by the donor
• To assist the supervisor in managing and strengthening Accountability to Beneficiaries' mechanisms
• To assist in carrying out regular field monitoring of program interventions and produce monitoring reports on the given format
• To assist in carrying out follow-up monitoring visits to materialize actions agreed in action plan, also assist in maintaining ‘Monitoring-Action Plan Tracker’ at field level;
• To assist in establishing and managing the Complaint and Feedback Mechanism which facilitates beneficiaries/communities to register complaints and share feedback;
• To assist supervisor in carrying out preliminary first inquiry report in case of serious nature of complaints filed by beneficiaries/communities;
• To maintain complaints and feedback tracking database and do follow up on complaints to reach a resolution involving relevant project/program staffs;
• To assist MEAL Coordinator in identifying key compliance/quality questions and parameters capitalizing on the existing checklists and minimum standards for monitoring project performance;
• To assist in reviewing data bases and data tracking tools of diverse projects in order to maintain data quality for collating reliable and consistent data which meets minimum reporting requirements of donors and HAP;
• To assist in planning and implementation of baseline surveys, monitoring and evaluation exercises and impact assessments when needed;
• Any other tasks given by line manager

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 years of total experience and having minimum 1-2 years of sector (MEAL) experience.
• Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines and intense pressure to perform;
• Excellent skills on computer operation, especially on MS Word & Microsoft Excel
• Community mobilization skills.
• Problem-solving ability.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of local languages will be an added advantage
• Good computer skills – ability to write weekly and monthly reports and data analysis.
• Knowledge of PSEA, Protection & GBV, Gender & Inclusiveness in recovery context.
