Your Opportunity
We are looking for a Finance Officer who will provide strong financial support to the contract, assisting in the robust financial planning, reporting and monitoring and cash management. An individual who can manage, coordinate, analyse and assess the financial activities of the projects and provide financial advice to contract directors to facilitate sound business decisions. Someone who can work with the Finance Manager to provide the Finance Business Partner (FBP) with analysis and reporting to accurately capture the performance of the business and forecast the future financial performance.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and good presentation skills. Has the ability to liaise in a professional manner with staff at all levels in the organisation and with external parties. A self-starter with a pro-active approach to problem solving. Someone who has good time management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple task. Has ability to work efficiently and productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Ability to handle confidential information appropriately. Ability to develop self and team members and provide coaching to others to ensure they achieve results. A person who has strong analytical and numerical skills.

This role is part of our Finance Team and will work across our offices in Riyadh and NEOM.

Key Accountabilities
Accounts Receivable
Manage the billing and collection of rent, service charge, car park rents demands and
other adhoc transactions for invoicing (deposit, valet parking, lease termination fees, fit
out review fees, etc.) in Yardi.
Provide Invoice calculation to tenants on an adhoc basis.
Prepare and calculate monthly invoices to Landlord for the share in Property Service
Charge, with detailed supporting such as draft monthly service charge reconciliation,
payment certificate & cumulative payment summary.
Update Accounts Receivable Aging Report on a weekly basis.
Generates reminder letter to Tenants as per the escalation process.
Planning and Reporting
Assist in producing the Business Plan and Forecasts (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash) for the relevant contracts.
Support contract manager(s) in controlling spend against their business plan/forecast and ensure they align with the business unit and Serco Middle East defined targets.
Timely reporting of all financial deliverables in accordance with the divisional and group finance calendar.
Maintain a robust cash management process. Including reporting of daily cash balances, monthly cash flow forecasts using both direct and indirect methodologies of forecasting.
Assist in collating KSA-specific financial returns.
Liaising with local geography advisors (Taxation, Social Insurance etc) to ensure compliance.
General
Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders. In particular, establishing excellent working relationships with the contract managers, the Transport Finance Team, SME central finance, and the SSC.
Monitor the controls of the relevant project(s) by ensuring that policies and procedures are adhered to e.g. PO procedures, delegated authority limits, bank mandates and expense guidelines.
Liaise with the Shared Service Centre and bank customer relationship managers on a daily basis ensuring smooth flow of accounting activities.
Routine month end activities including analysing payroll budget holder reports, production of Customer invoices, processing of journals prior to closure of books of accounts.
Balance sheet management for relevant profit centre(s) with monthly reconciliations provided and clean balance sheet maintained.
Ad-hoc reports and analysis to the business.
Support the project teams with rebids or variations for opportunities.
Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
Comply with all Serco SMS Policies and Standard Operating Procedures and all local regional or contract related policies and procedures.
Perform and carry out other duties as instructed / directed by the FBP.

Specific Requirements

A minimum of 3 years’ experience, in the management of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis, auditing, and providing financial advice;

Experience in providing support to senior management;

Middle East / Saudi Arabia experience is desirable.

Ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections

Knowledge of SAP financial and accounting software applications, desirable.

Knowledge and experience of related computer applications including advanced Excel skills
