PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and implement effective marketing strategies to sell new insurance contracts or adjust existing onesContact potential clients and create rapport by networking, cold calling, using referrals etcAppraise the wishes and demands of business or individual customers and sell the suitable protection plansCollect information from clients on their risk profiles in order to offer them the proper solutionRetain continuous awareness of transactions, sales and terms and keep relative recordsCheck insurance claims to solidify trust and safeguard reputationExplain various insurance policies and products to potential and existing clients, guiding them toward the best coverage Deliver approved policies to new clients and explain benefits and risks of the policyRe-assess the policy needs of existing clients after life-changing eventsFill-out and submit applications, issue quotes, maintain client records and prepare reportsKeep abreast of industry and market trends and best practicesMaintain financial and operational records and general office dutiesReach the business targets on revenue, claims ratios, number of customers etc
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Degree in Finance, Actuarial, Business or similar relevant fieldsProven 3 years of previous working experience as an Insurance AgentExcellent communication and presentation skillsResilient spirit and a persistent natureProven experience in networking, delivering client-focused solutions and in creating long-lasting relationshipsWell organized with time great management abilitiesGood comprehension of insurance plans including automobile, fire, life, property, medical etc.Ability to work with computers and understand and interpret standard statistical findingsGood working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
