The Administration Assistant role is a 0.5WTE post based in Queen Square, Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, and will manage the administration supporting the Inflammatory Peripheral Nerve. This role will apply expert knowledge of patient pathway and administrative procedures to provide the delivery of a high quality, effective, and efficient service for both the multidisciplinary team and patients, with a focus on delivering a positive patient experience, and excellent customer service.
This vacancy has been advertised in accordance with the new NHS pay rate which will take effect from autumn 2024. Please note if your employment starts before the 24/25 pay scales are implemented you will be paid under the 23/24 pay scales and any backpay will be adjusted

Support with the management of incoming patient referrals, ensuring appointments are booked within a timely manner in line with the Elective Access Policy.
Ensure patient information is correct and/or updated on Electronic Health Records system.
Input all incoming and outgoing correspondence within a timely manner and onto the electronic health records.
Communicate with clinicians and patients in a clear and effective manner, forwarding on queries to the appropriate team members.
Collate and provide required patient information at the request of clinical teams.
Resolve simples queries, using own judgement to determine when to pass on queries to clinical or management teams.
Adhere to all Trustwide policies and protocols to ensuring working effectively and efficiently.
