Our Zurich Commercial Insurance, Middle East business is looking for an Assistant Financial Controller.
Job Accountabilities - Key Accountabilities
The role will support finance-related activities related to Financial Accounting, Reporting, Tax, Treasury, Group Re, Planning, FinOps and Performance Management., Ensure that all tasks and procedures are completed to achieve key business objectives., Efficient stakeholder management internally and externally.
Performs close related ledger tasks, e. g. accruals, provisions, reconciliations and journals postings as per local and Group requirements.
Prepares ledger reports and explain the results.
Conducts accounts receivable and accounts payable activities.
Conducts administrative tasks such as customer and vendor services.
Provides frequent and appropriately detailed accounting and financial information.
Provide messaging on financial performance for specific parts of the profit and loss account.
Prepares tax returns and supporting workpapers, estimated tax payments and other tax compliance activities.
Prepares, updates and maintains assigned databases.
Maintains the chart of accounts in accordance with local and Group requirements.
Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that accounting, finance- related activities, processes, procedures are followed and completed in line with Group as well as external requirements.
Performs ICFR controls in compliance with internal control guidelines.
Job Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Finance and a minimum of 3 years of experience
