Action Against Hunger is a global humanitarian organization which originated in France and is committed to ending world hunger. The organization helps malnourished children and provides communities with access to safe water and sustainable solutions to hunger.

Job Summary: Action Against Hunger seeks an experienced Director of Finance and Administration to oversee all financial and administrative aspects of a five-year USAID-funded project. Based in Kampala, Uganda, with travel to other locations as needed, you will ensure compliance with donor guidelines and our organizational policies, contributing significantly to our mission.

Eligibility Criteria

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree and professional certification (CPA or ACCA) preferred.
• At least ten years of relevant senior-level experience in financial management and administration, ideally within international projects funded by major donors like USAID.
• Proven expertise in preparing budgets, financial reports, and leading financial operations.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing cohesive teams.
• Advanced proficiency in financial software, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication abilities, capable of effectively coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Fluent in English, with proficiency in local Ugandan languages advantageous.
