Job Summary & Details

As a house manager you will need strong communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills. You'll be responsible for ensuring the visitor experience at NDI events is positive by:

• Leading a team of ushers to steward the visitor experience at live performances and events
• Managing visitor services-related matters with the goal of ensuring a safe, comfortable, and hospitable environment for guests during their time at NDI events
• Providing an excellent visitor experience at all live events and ensure the front-of-house staff manages all visitor relations with a friendly and professional demeanor
• Leading on-site facilitation of building safety plan during live events
• Maintaining the appearance of the lobby and all public areas; communicate with maintenance as necessary to ensure a clean and hospitable environment
• Collaborating with box office team to support visitors through waitlist and late seating processes
• Completing and distributing house report for events
• Being an ambassador for NDI: must be highly knowledgeable of our services, programming and our mission
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Education/Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an usher, or guest services representative in theater and/or hospitality settings

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Possess a positive and collaborative attitude

Work Conditions

• Requires reliable transportation and reimbursable in-state travel to NDI New Mexico locations, participating schools, residency sites, and community events
• Requires weekend and evening hours
• May be required to lift up to 25 lbs.
• May be required to navigate stairs
