Job description

Our Italian inspired menu blends seamlessly with New York City’s “Little Italy” authenticity. We prepare our fresh, fine Italian meals in the Clam Bar tradition, where it’s all about the sauce! Work in a fun-loving Speak-Easy atmosphere. We are looking for Dishwashers/Stewards to join the Team, to help us provide amazing food, Prohibition style cocktails, and exemplary service to our Guests who are treated like family.

Dishwasher/Stewards Position Summary

Speaks is looking for hard working Dishwashers/Stewards to join our Team. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast paced, high volume restaurant. The candidate is responsible for the cleanliness of all the service ware required to serve our Guests. As well as maintaining the general cleanliness of our kitchens.

Requirements/Qualifications

· Must be dependable, reliable, and responsible

· Must be able to keep ahead of the restaurant, by continually sorting, cleaning, and delivering glassware, dishware, silverware, pots, and pans to the appropriate service areas

· Responsible for setting up and breaking down the dish areas at the beginning and ending of service each day

· Responsible for sweeping, cleaning, and mopping in the restaurant as necessary

· Able to work in a Team setting, assisting the kitchen and dining room employees as needed

· Ability to work in a small area, on your feet for 8+ hours per day

· Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds at a time on a regular basis

· Closes Back of the House dish area by cleaning, sweeping floors, mopping floors, and wiping off equipment as needed, removing trash and recyclables from the facility
