Vendor Negotiation and Contracting:
Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts with vendors, ensuring cost efficiency and value for the company.
Establish and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with vendors, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
Monitor and enforce vendor compliance with contractual obligations, service level agreements, and quality standards.
Vendor Performance Management:
Define and implement vendor performance metrics and KPIs to assess vendor performance regularly.
Conduct periodic vendor performance reviews, addressing any issues or concerns, and identifying areas for improvement.
Collaborate with vendors to drive continuous improvement initiatives and optimize service levels.
Vendor Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with vendor relationships, such as financial instability, quality issues, or disruptions in the supply chain.
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, including contingency plans and alternative sourcing options.
Market Analysis and Benchmarking:
Stay updated with industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies related to logistics and vendor management.
Conduct benchmarking exercises to compare vendor performance, pricing, and service quality against industry standards.
Collaboration and Cross-functional Support:
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including operations, procurement, and finance teams, to understand their requirements and align vendor selection accordingly.
Provide support and guidance to cross-functional teams regarding vendor-related matters, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
Who You Are
Must be a Hindi speaking candidate.
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
Minimum 3- 5 years proven experience in vendor management, sourcing, or procurement within the logistics industry(FTL segment).
Strong knowledge of logistics operations, vendor evaluation methodologies, and negotiation strategies.
Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive decision-making.
Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Familiarity with logistics platforms, software, and tools is preferred.
Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
