Job Details of Communication Systems Security Engineer

Supervise and participate in the preparation and review of feasibility studies.

Cooperation with companies supplying security and technical solutions.

Participate in risk management teams and be familiar with their escalation processes.

Communicate with internal and external parties through various means of communication in writing, orally or through meetings held.

Supervising the process of innovation and development and applying some proposals that contribute to improving the performance of systems and information security.

Contribute to the preparation and submission of studies and reports of the department and the institution in general.

Supervising the training and transfer of knowledge to new employees and qualifying them in the department and answering their inquiries.

Familiarity with tendering processes, evaluation and selection of suppliers, and signing contracts or agreements.

Work and supervise the adjustment of network devices settings such as adapters, routers, firewalls and access control devices to suit the variables in the needs of the institution.

Oversee the design of a secure and highly operational efficient infrastructure network, while ensuring network sustainability and connectivity.

Participate in the identification, evaluation and selection of systems and supplies for the preparation of the network and servers of all kinds, and the cables and connections that follow them to provide communication in the institution and outside.

Follow up on updates and continuous development of network operating systems, and ensure that they comply with international standards and recommendations of provider companies.

Monitor the security of access to the network and other operational systems and their uses in coordination with the concerned users.

Technical support for all activities related to the installation, inspection and work of operating systems, network supplies and systems.

Continuous follow-up of the needs of the various departments in the institution of means and tools to employ the network in its interest.

Providing technical support in the application of electronic linking programs between all software systems of the institution and external parties from companies, customers and consultants.

Ensure the safety of devices and information security continuously and put all precautions and alternative programs in the event of any emergency.

Supervising the maintenance and periodic, continuous and preventive follow-up of auxiliary devices and operating systems to ensure their readiness, follow-up performance, and modify and update them to ensure the achievement of the required efficiency.

Technical organization of access and use of the network and information according to the specific powers of the various departments in the institution.

Proposing mechanisms for the continuous development and modernization of devices and equipment used in employing information technology and networks in the institution.

Continuously document network settings in physical and virtual systems, document changes to settings and network design, and save them in a safe place to ensure they can be reviewed in the event of an emergency.

Any other tasks assigned to him by the direct supervisor that are related to his competence.
