Ensure adherence to financial department policies and procedures.
Participate in recording board decisions related to loans and grants operations and post them in the accounting system.
Review the recording of withdrawal operations from loans, grants, and the urgent program to support the Palestinian people in the loans and grants systems, and then post them in the accounting system.
Post specific relevant entries.
Oversee the issuance of periodic principal and interest statements, review them preliminarily, and submit them to the Head of Loans Unit.
Supervise the recording of loan principal and interest repayments according to due dates.
Monitor the issuance of original and revised loan repayment schedules in accordance with established procedures.
Track the issuance of letters to confirm loan balances according to established procedures and audit requirements.
Daily monitor bank accounts, use statements in recording operations, and maintain payment receipts and bank statements as they are received.
Support accountants in completing their tasks during shortages, such as annual vacations.
Maintain a set of records ensuring the accuracy and smoothness of operations.
Respond to borrower inquiries using appropriate methods (email, fax, postal mail).
Participate in preparing financial reports (interim/annual) as required by specialization and assignment.
Train the Accountant and Assistant Accountant in required tasks and assist in developing their skills.
Assist the Head of Loans Unit in performing their duties to develop and enhance their work experience.
Help solve problems with minimal cost while ensuring smooth workflow.
Contribute to the development and updating of systems, policies, and procedures for the Loans and Grants Accounting Unit and other units.
Continuously develop job skills and seek guidance from the Head of Loans Unit in making important decisions and managing the team.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional certifications are preferred (ACCA, CPA, CMA...).
Specialized training courses are advantageous.
Over 10 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance, preferably in the financial services sector.
Proven ability to prepare annual budgets, final accounts, financial statements, and manage accounting systems.
Experience in monitoring financial flows, managing loan-related accounts, and conducting internal financial audits.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to develop and implement financial policies, systems, and procedures.
Effective team collaboration skills.
In-depth knowledge of best practices and current trends in accounting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in SAP.
Proficiency in both Arabic and English.
Proven ability to motivate team members, with flexibility and attention to detail.
