Maintenance Officer (HVAC Technician)

Job description

Key Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to)
• Coordinates maintenance and repairs of all Watoto HVAC Systems.
• Oversee and examine all HVAC equipment at Watoto Ministries locations.
• Maintain and repair all HVAC equipment and components to manufactures as per recommendation.
• Coordinate scheduled site visit to identify and repair potential problems and keep the systems and rooms clean.
• Respond to fire alarms systems and be familiar with fire panels.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair of electrical appliances including air conditioners. Ensure company assets i.e. tools and equipment are maintained to an acceptable standard, ensuring all tools are available for inspection when requested.
• Maintain the general administration of the maintenance program,
• Support with the preparation and implementation of maintenance and improvement plans.
• Establish preventative maintenance schedules.
• Participate in the preparation of HVAC plans for projects.
• Assist in the management and supervision of HVAC projects and contracts.
• Maintain and regularly updates records and inventories of all HVAC projects.
• Supervise contractors and Volunteers to ensure a positive and healthy work environment.
• Promotes workplace health and safety based on established guidelines.
• Assigns tasks and ensure schedules are maintained.
• Supervises contractors and ensures their performance is up to agreed terms.
• Takes corrective action when required.
• Preparation of reports on HVAC maintenance activiti Prepare activity report and work order reports.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience.
• A minimum of a Diploma in HVAC in a recognised technical institution, or any other relevant qualification
• At least 5 years practical working experience as an HVAC technician.
• Must be able to work from a ladder and carry load of about 30 kgs weight. Must have entrylevel training on Metasys building automation system and know. how to utilize the control program for troubleshooting

• Should be a good communicator, must have a high level of integrity, confidentiality, trust, good work ethics and sound judgement.
