About the role

How You Will Make an Impact

Planning:

• Active participation in finalizing EHS plans for the projects.
• Takes lead in EHS Kick off and pre mob meetings.
• Making Risk Assessments as the need arise.

Implementation:

• Supports PM to ensure that required EHS—related permits, authorizations, certi?cates are available and authorities have been notified as necessary.
• Implements a training concept that ful?lls all EHS—related training requirements including safety inductions and TBTs.
• Ensures that requirements of the EHS plan are known by all relevant team members.
• Reviews safe work method statements/risk assessments of contractors.
• Liaises in alignment with PM with customer/contractor EHS representatives regarding project execution and onsite EHS issues.
• Supports in methodology of last-minute risk analysis (point of work risk assessment)

Monitoring and Reporting:

• Conducts regular site inspections to identify risks, and de?nes corrective measures.
• Checking compliance with inspection intervals for tools, lifting gear, load attachment rigging and other technical equipment (both in the case of Siemens and external firms)
• Check emergency preparedness and raise to PM in case of inadequacy or non-conformance.
• Provides regular EHS reports to the project and/or site manager and BU EHS officer to ensure full operational transparency.
• Ensures all incidents are investigated and recorded and appropriate measures are de?ned, implemented and monitored.
• Brings up in case of non-compliance with legal, business or customer's EHS requirements.
• Analyzes statistics including near misses to identify trends and implements countermeasures.

Continuous improvement:

• Promotes the sharing of standard methodologies and documents lessons learned.
• Evaluates contractors in terms of their EHS performance and provides feedback to project manager and BU EHS of?cer.
• Supports in evaluation of accidents, near misses as well as resolve of measures and their adequate documents to avoid them.
• Timely reporting and closing of EHS incidents, EHS Trainings and Inductions, COVID-19 management plan implementation and improvement, Implementation of EHS Plan for the project.

What You Bring

• Technical background preferably Diploma in mechanical trade.
• NEBOSH IGC Level 3 completed.
• Basic First Aid & Fire warden
• Minimum 5 years site related experience at service projects of rotating equipment in power plants or oil and gas industry
• Technical experience as mechanical fitter at turbines will be a plus.
• Understanding & handling of permit to work systems at power plant sites.
• Work experience with multicultural team
