The Store Manager is responsible for the efficient management of inventory storage and distribution operations. This role involves overseeing the receipt, storage, and issuance of inventory, ensuring that goods are handled and processed accurately and efficiently. The Store Manager will manage a team of warehouse staff, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the receipt, storage, and issuance of inventory items.
Ensure inventory accuracy through regular stock counts and reconciliation.
Implement inventory control measures to minimize discrepancies and reduce shrinkage.
Manage the organization and layout of the storage facility to optimize space and accessibility.
Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff, including assigning tasks and setting performance goals.
Develop and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
Develop and implement procedures for efficient inventory handling and storage.
Monitor and improve operational processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations within the warehouse environment.
Manage equipment and resources to ensure proper functioning and maintenance.
Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, and adjustments.
Prepare and submit regular reports on inventory levels, operational performance, and any issues encountered.
Utilize inventory management software to track stock levels and manage orders.
Coordinate with internal departments or external clients to fulfill inventory requests and orders.
Address and resolve any issues related to inventory discrepancies or fulfillment delays.
Maintain effective communication with suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree or above preferably in Supply Chain or Logistics.
Previous experience in inventory management or warehouse operations, preferably 2-5 years in a supervisory role.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Proficiency in inventory management systems and warehouse management software.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Capable of standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks such as stocking and organizing inventory.
